he beat two future champs. he beat future champ, jj braddock. braddock quit during the fight and he was diqualfied.
He (Al Ettore) was knocked out in the 5th round by Joe Louis on
September 22, 1936. But he did fight Jim Braddock on March 1, 1933.
Braddock was DQed for "not trying".
Ettore had a pretty impressive record of 62-17-4 with 20 KOs. But he
never held any titles and he rarely fought outside of Philadelphia.
According to his biography, he was a rated Heavyweight contender
during the mid 1930s, earning a #9 rating in the The Ring magazine's
Annual Ratings for both 1935 and 1936.
