Here's a guy who spent some years in jail for rape and twice was DQed
for biting an opponent in a boxing match.

At a press conference held 3 days before the Mayweather/Packquiao bout
- referring to Mayweather’s recent assertion that, at 47-0, he is the
greatest boxer of all-time and not Muhammad Ali, Tyson said, “The guy
is going around saying he is better than Ali. I don’t want to hear
that (expletive).”

As the press conference was about to begin, Tyson was told he could
move to the front four rows of the arena instead of his quiet seat
near the back, Tyson responded: “I try to stay as far away from dirt
as possible.”

So that begs the question, just how low on the human scale is Floyd
Mayweather?

Regards,

Adrien Broner is lower on the human scale. Floyd is a bore. A winning
bore. "The Greatest" title doesn't get accorded by virtue of the
up/down nature of "wins". Or even lopsided wins. It also has to do
with facing insurmountable odds and finding a way through (e.g. Ali /
Foreman) or even loses (e.g. Ali / Norton #1). He also showed greart
courage, determination and adaptability in his home life/political life.

Floyd's a good business man, a smart survivalist in the ring and as a
matter of good luck and good choices he's managed to keep out of the
losses column. Big deal.

Just like in Rocky 5 guys from another era would have kicked the shit
right out of Floyd notably Tommy Hearns or Aaron Pryor. Tommy would have
taken Floyd's head right off his shoulders probably in the first round
and Aaron would have put Floyd in the hospital and maybe a body cast
from body shots.

If they had hit him, they could have done all that. While we're
speculating, my dad, who wasn't a professional boxer, could have
whipped Mayfield, Prior and Hearns, all at the same time, with one hand
tied behind his back.
