I think that there is too much red tape in boxing and the fights that everyone wants to happen take place years after they should. Tyson-Holyfeld, Whitaker-Chavez, and Pac-maywether. What I would do to fix boxing is this, I would only rank the top five fighters not the top 30 and here is why. It gives boxers a chance to learn, and fights are encouraged to happen because we want to see these two people in the ring together. What would you do to decrease the red tape in boxing"?

Indeed, there should be a sport system like with the
amateurs in the Olympics. There shouldn't be any
fights "made" by promoters and matchmakers and phantom
"organizations" like the "World" Boxing yada-yada.

Then there wouldn't be any mismatches (by definition);
there wouldn't be any bogus "comeback" fights for
recently KOd stars to rebuild their confidence and
star-credentials by KO-ing no-hopers; and, not the
least the best fighters WOULD meet the best at the
precise point when they are the best (again by
definition).

We would also get away with all the tiresome
discussion who dodged who, who avoided who, what would
have happened if in their primes they... etc.
People could focus on what actually happened.

So will it ever happen? I don't think so.
