Canelo easily handled A game opponent. The better boxer prevailed. Are there any comments from the regulars?

I had a party to attend last night and was tortured over whether to
purchase it and watch it later or not. In the end, the undercard just
wasn't worth the price.

I assume HBO will show it to me next week. It doesn't sound like it
was a candidate for "top 10 best fights of the year", but these two
future hall-of-famers are still part of the current boxing topography.

I assume there is no way in hell that *both* of them won't be fighting
Golovkin over the next 18 months, but assume they will begin throwing
the PR at it beginning now in an attempt to get a Mayweather-level PPV
boxoffice out fo the deal.

Having seen the fight do you feel better qualified to project how
Canelo will do against GGG?

I watched the fight and Canelo threw a lot of jobs in the first 6 rounds
winning 4 of the first 6. Cotto took two good shots in the eight and one
in the ninth. Cotto never hurt him the entire fight. A very tough fight
to bet before the fact because Canelo could have come out flatfooted
looking for an early knockout like he did against Mayweather. This time
he didn't give the early rounds away.
