I damn sure hope I get my money's worth. I love seeing both Golovkin
and Roman Gonzalez--but I am fearful neither will give me $50 worth of
actual bona fide entertainment. Still--I'm down with it.

I did indeed!

Neither were "great fights" in the usual sense: a nail-biter, close
competition with surprises and/or upsets. Still, watching two of the
most significant masters of the game right now, Triple-G and
Chocolatito, both against inarguably "worthy" competition, it was an
absolute delight!

Golovkin's left jab is absolutely stunning. I've seen him many times,
and maybe it was the brevity of those fights and/or the lack of
necessity of keeping a heavy puncher (like Lemieux) at bay, but I never
noticed he had such an incredible weapon. Fast, accurate and really
hard!

Ramon also blew me a way. He is simply amazing in his versatility and
still just 28 years old. As advertised his foot work is simply
astounding. Jim Lampley was pimping a video that demonstrates it.
Here it is, "The Art of Moving" by Lee Wiley:

I don't frequently cocentrate on, nor back up video to point out to my
wife what a boxer is doing, but I was surprised to find myself doing
that with Chocolatito last night two or three times, marveling at the
way he cut off Viloria and kept himself in advantageous position.
Clearly Lampley, Kellerman and Roy Jones were informing us as well.

Great stuff!
