Post by EdmundWell I found clinchclown as always, dirty boring and a coward.
He manged to clinch hold and turn his back on his opponent about 100 times
I continue to share your disrespect of Wlad. I'm surprised that he
fights so much like a middle weight, fast, one of the few serious
left-jabs in the heavyweight division, etc. Still his thorough
reliance on clinching, lay on opponents and headlocks is exasperating.
Much like Mayweather, his non-boxing tactics wins him decisions, but
not fans.
Post by EdmundOf course his home referee didn't even warn him one time,
Tony Weeks is an excellent referee, and I should not you can't get
every 150 pound ref to manage to 250 pound heavyweight wrestlers.
Post by Edmund...to add and
insult to injury, in round 11, Fury who won that round clearly, got a
public waring while Clinchy did nothing but holding wrestling and turning
his back to Fury, that is how they do things in Germany.
And in the USA too; I've only seen points deducted for holding 4 or 5
times in my life.
Post by EdmundIn a round 8? he head butted Fury but that was OK with his ref too.
I'm surprised he didn't see that blatant and egregious and certainly
point-deducting worthy headbutt. It was absolutely astounding that the
commentators clearly never saw it; I have no idea where they were
sitting.
Post by EdmundGlad he clearly lost anyway, the real score should have been something
like 118 for Fury.
That sounds about right. But I assume, as I'm guessing the money will,
that he's still be the favorite in a re-match. I'm just hoping it's
far enough out there, a year and a half or so, that he'll be out of the
game. I don't have the same animosity that you have for him, but his
fights are dull and aggravating events.
