You guys can talk your trash all you want.yes I only had 8 amateur fights. Also I was completely blind in my right eye after my 12 fight with tillery. I trained myself and got my own fights. But you could use done better. You shouldn't talk shit unless you know the full circumstances.

Bobby Quarry
Bakersfield, CA, Heavyweight

The 3 fighting Quarry brothers: Jerry, Mike, Bobby. Jerry had the power.
Mike had the finese. Bobby had neither, plus a lack of willingness to
train. It showed in his boxing career. Following each listed opponent is
their respective record going into the Quarry fight.

8/13/92 Jimmy Ellis: 17-1-1 Boise, ID --- TKOby2 *6
Career record: 9-12-2 (6)
*1. The ringside report indicated this oppoent was pulled out of the
audience and given a phony name to assure a Quarry win.
*2. The ringside report delclared the fight łcompletely void of fistic
skills.˛
*3. The ringside report called Quarry łpathetic.˛
*4. A respectable record for Hearns, BUT heąd had only 4 fights in the
previous 6 years.
*5. Also a respectable record for Gonzalez, BUT he was coming off a
2-year layoff and was 1-3 since returning to the ring.
*6. I saw this fight. It was dreadful. Quarry was horribly out of shape
and totally defenseless.

I happened to catch the Bobby Quarry-Kilgour fight. That KO measures up to any I've seen before or since.

Perhaps "catching up" is more to the point as
you reply to a post that is 16y 7m 14d old?

PS. I agree in essence to what you said about
the Kongo fight tho in particular "taking
Foreman to school" is a phrasing a wouldn't
use. That is an old thread as well and the
guy you immediately cite has left
this world.

I used to post here regularly, but stopped about 15 years ago. I didn't even notice the dates. I guess nobody uses this anymore....
