I am posting this thread on behalf of Bobby Scanlon's brother, who is
requesting memorabilia such as Photo's, Newspaper Articles, Magazines,
Boxing Programs, Boxing Posters, and above all Film Footage. Will pay TOP
MARKET VALUE!
Bobby Scanlon as many Boxing enthusiests know was a promising Lightweight
contender out of Buffalo,NY who eventually settled in SanFrancisco to pursue
his professional career.
He had a total of 55 fights, winning 42, losing 12, with 1 draw, & never
knocked out.
He fought many quality opponents such as Pete Kawala, Mike Spataro, Dave
Gallardo, Wallace (Bud) Smith, Lauro Salas, Gale Kerwin, Joey Lopes, Paolo
Rosi, Orlando Zulueta, Johnny Gonsalves, Mario Vecchiatto, Jackie Donnelly,
Paul Armstead, Frankie Narvaez, Luis Molina to name just a few.
After debilitating injuries he retired & returned back to his hometown of
Buffalo, NY and in June of 1975 died in a Hotel fire in Lackawanna, NY.
Please if anyone out there can offer some or direct us to some items for his
family it would be deeply appreciated. You can email me directly at:

Thank you for for taking the time to read this thread.

Hi,
Bobby was my Uncle who I never got the chance to meet.
My father was his brother, I wish he had tagged me moms so I could be proud to say he was my Dad. I grew up in Lackawanna and Buffalo.
I do remember going to Eden Ny to visit his Mom, my Grandmother. Thank you for carrying on his memory!
Say a prayer for me will ya?
